In 2020, the NFL will not play outside the United States.
Affected by the outbreak, the League announced on Monday that five planned international games – four in London and one in Mexico City – would be held in the United States.
“After a lot of analysis, we believe that it is the right decision for our players, the team and all fans in the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom to hold all the games of the new season at home,” said Christopher Halpin, executive vice president of the NFL. “We are very grateful to our government and stadium partners in Mexico and the UK for their support and they have agreed to this decision and we look forward to returning to these two countries in 2021 to host the games.”
Before that, Arizona cardinals nfl jerseys, Atlanta falcons jerseys sales, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguar were announced as participating teams in the international competition. They will now play at home.
Originally, the League planned to hold one match at Aztec stadium in Mexico City, two at Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London and two at Wembley Stadium. The NFL has played at Wembley for 13 years in a row.
