The final 15 candidate list for the 2021 Professional Football Hall of fame modern player category includes four first-year candidates.

The four are quarterback Peyton Manning, outfielder Calvin Johnson, Defender Charles Woodson and defender Jared Allen.

The hall of fame selection committee confirmed 130 nominations in September and then narrowed the list to 25 in November. Next, the committee will vote on the winner.

On the day before the 55th super bowl, a 48 member selection committee will vote for 15 people. In addition, senior category final candidate drew Pearson, outstanding contribution category final candidate bill Nunn and coach category final candidate Tom Flores will participate in the final vote.

Although there is no rule on the number of people selected for each hall of fame, generally speaking, the selection committee will select four to eight people. 2021 Hall of fame members will announce at the NFL awards ceremony on February 6.

The members of the 2021 National Congress will enter the hall of fame at the selection ceremony on August 8. Other events that week included the Pittsburgh Steelers versus Dallas Cowboys Hall of fame competition and the 2020 Centennial Hall of fame selection ceremony on August 7.
